Port companies claim to the Department greater transparency in fund

Companies in the port of Denia met Thursday 17 March with the Regional Minister for Housing, Public Works and structuring of the territory, María José Salvador, with obejtivo to claim the Generalitat Valenciana transparency in the amount of revenue generated by the port and destination of the proceeds.

The meeting, which took place in the port of Denia, entrepreneurs recalled that the Government is obliged to reinvest the 40% of the fees charged to ports in order to invest in much-needed improvements to the port of Denia it can maintain its competitiveness with other ports, both national and international.

Employers strongly emphasized that the port of Denia is the most important from the point of view of collection, of Valencia, exceeding three million euros annually in fees and charges, so they demanded that the Regional Minister to review aspects of 40% reinvestment rates and fees charged at ports and distribute them equitably, which would Dénia for a port as an income above one million euros.

In the meeting, which was attended by the mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, together with councilors Rafa Carrió and MªJosep Ripoll, the general director of Public Works, Transport and Mobility, Carlos Domingo and the head of the Port Operations Service participated, Julio Marín.
