The concert of the Valencian band Social Security was the first great event that the City Council of Dénia carried out in this health crisis. It was the litmus test to verify that the new normal can become effective and not be a mere title for a time in which deprivation, especially in terms of leisure and culture, is taking us far away from any kind of daily life.
The security measures were up to the task. The protection was extreme to guarantee the health of the act. Now, as long as there is a reserved chair inside the enclosure.
Outside the fences, little control was taken advantage of to mount a totally different party on more than one occasion than the one that was being lived in the reserved places. Dances, standing drinks without a mask and certain crowds put a negative note on the night. Something that some terraces of establishments that took advantage of their proximity to the stage to do their own business, fulfilling their own measures much kinder with the festivities and, therefore, with the coronavirus, encouraged to some extent.
However, in the interior the behavior was impeccable, which serves to show that it is possible to continue promoting these cultural activities to prevent this strong sector in our area from completely sinking, especially due to the distrust of the councils themselves. Now, as with the rest of the sectors, it is time for the City Council to go one step further and bet on local products, including cultural ones.
