Classrooms Senior represent a play to benefit Betània Initiative

It extends solidarity in Dénia beyond the holidays. This is demonstrated by the initiative that has had the theater group the halls of the Third Age, which wanted to represent one of his works to help raise funds for the association Dianense Betània Initiative.

On Thursday January 21, 20 hours at the auditorium of the Social Center will host the performance of the play La Zapatera ProdigiousFederico García Lorca, a work directed by María Rubio and in which the group worked hard over the past year.

Both the director and the participants in the work they were very pleased to collaborate with the association, while Councilor greater, Elisabet Cardona, congratulated them on the initiative. Tickets to 4 euros, can be purchased at neighborhood centers lso Sertorio and West and headquarters Initiative Betània.

Betània initiative

The Bethania Initiative Dianense Association was founded in the 1995 year. From then until now it has gone through several stages to reach the current one, in which they have the capacity to serve a fortnight of children from 6 to 12 years through social skills workshops.

Currently it has the financial support of the grant from the City of Denia, and through it they have launched a group of school support in the afternoon, a workshop on oral hygiene, a workshop on social skills and were able to donate toys nearly a hundred children this Christmas.

Victoria García, representative of the Betània Initiative, expressed her gratitude to the theater group of the Classrooms of the Third Age for this activity, since they are currently "trying to survive" and move forward with their work defending the rights of the child in our city .
