The tapa is once again the protagonist in Dénia from June 12 to 16

One more year the International Tapas Day is celebrated in Dénia with a special Route from June 12 to 16, 2023. An initiative of Saborea España joined by AEHTMA, the Dénia City Council, Guíame and the sponsorship of the Costa Blanca Board.

World Tapa Day was born in 2014 as an initiative of Saborea España. It is a tribute to tapas, showing and allowing the public to taste a small sample of our gastronomy through the collaborating establishments.

The Saborea España Association is made up of five national entities: Hospitality of Spain, to which AEHTMA belongs, Spanish Association of Destinations for the Promotion of Gastronomic Tourism, of which the city of Dénia is a part, Eurotoques (European organization of chefs made up of highly prestigious chefs), Facyre (Federation of Cooks and Pastry Chefs of Spain) and Paradores de Turismo.

The tapa and tapas are differential elements of Spanish gastronomy and society and, as such, are valued inside and outside the borders. For this reason, together with Turisme Dénia, AEHTMA participates in the presentation event of World Tapas Day, with the presence of Dénia together with other destinations Saborea España in: Lion with Chef Evarits Miralles.

The winner of the most voted cover through the APP RutappaApp will receive the prize of 700 euros and the second most voted cover of 300 euros.

42 establishments will offer a tapa and drink at the price of 4 euros. These days the tapa will be the great protagonist in our bars and restaurants.

The tapa is a gastronomic icon and the Marina Alta region has the best products and professionals to enjoy that miniature cuisine that attracts citizens and visitors alike. It is a reason to go out and share with friends and family and encourage the positive values ​​of coexistence and fun.
