The launch of "Dénia: the Rovell the pilot" had a large public attendance

The presentation of the book "Dénia: the Rovell sidelight”, Published by the Club Pilota Dénia to commemorate its 25th anniversary, was a great attendance success. A large audience filled the Plenary Hall of the Dénia City Council to attend this presentation of the work done by Toni Reig and Miquel Crespo.

The book contains text and illustrations with the history of the pilots in Dénia. Its documented origins over 400 years ago, with proof of the existence in 1613 called "Trinquet porches". The book is the story of three players from the Rust family, bound in Dénia since the nineteenth century, and a tribute to other known players Denia and the Marina Alta and the ratchets Trinqueters City Club and Ball that for a quarter century that deals Dénia remained a benchmark of the ball.

The presentation was attended by the Mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, the President of the Dénia Ball Club, Vicent Crespo, and the legendary ball player Antoni Reig Ventura, "Rovellet"Accompanied at the table by the club secretary, Pepe Moll.

Grimalt congratulated the Club de Pilota Dénia and recalled that since 25 years ago, "ands the engine of this sport, contributing to its growth promotion and recovery actions like the old ratchet Vistalegre".

From the club much work for the creation of the Municipal School of Pilota, now 20 years ago, organizing local championships and trophies and the professional circuit. They were also a key element in demand for the construction of the current Ratcheting "the Rovellet".

Club president Pilota Dénia, Vicent Crespo, explained that "This book is born to record the effort made during these 25 years and also tells the story of our honorary president, Antoni Reig Ventura, "Rovellet" and the history of pilot in Dénia".
