The image of the beaches full of dry and uncollected posidonia was the starting point of this meeting, in which the businessmen requested that cleaning services be expanded. In this regard, they were informed that the current contract - whose term is ten years and ends at 2023 - seems not to be sufficient for the current needs of the coast, which added to a greater incidence of storms this summer.

CEDMA moved to the first mayor of Dianense his total willingness to collaborate in whatever was necessary, although it was requested that in the event that similar circumstances occur again in the future, more information is provided to beach users about cleaning them.

It also addressed the delay that is being suffered at this time in the processing of urban compatibility certificates, an essential municipal document when it comes to legalizing the activity of tourist apartments. The average for obtaining the certificate has been three and a half months, which has
supposed serious problems for individuals and companies that want to work within the law and pay, therefore, the corresponding taxes. On this issue, the mayor said that in January a "Shock plan" with the hiring of specific personnel in Urban Planning in order to expedite this and other matters that are slowing down the management of the department.

The splitting of the Marinas, a project presented at 2009 by CEDMA before the City Council of Dénia and the Diputación de Alicante, was also the subject of debate at the meeting, given the latest statements made in this regard by the munícipe in some media. On this matter, the mayor clarified
that, in principle, it is intended to make a simple change of traffic direction, and address this project in phases.

Other issues were also discussed, such as the importance of achieving seasonality through various channels. In this regard, CEDMA provided the possibility of promoting water sports through a "Blue week" or attract congress tourism.

More projects addressed were the redevelopment that from the City of Dénia is intended for Cop Street, Ramón y Cajal Street and La Glorieta, or the implementation of the “Smart City” in waste management and public lighting.

Participating in this meeting in Mayor's Office, Benito Mestre (president of CEDMA), Cristina Sellés (president of AEHTMA), Isabel Agulles (president of the Tourism and Commerce Commission of CEDMA) and Esteban Cobos (vocal CEDMA), who communicated to the mayor the predisposition of entrepreneurs to work side by side with the public administration in order to strengthen public-private collaboration to achieve economic recovery in Dénia and the entire Marina Alta.
