Local Police teaches schoolchildren 11 and 12 years to shoot rockets responsibly

The agent of the Local Police, Manuel Moreno, made several talks, between last 13 in March and 14 in April, in several schools in Dénia with the clear objective of raising awareness and teaching schoolchildren to use pyrotechnic products responsibly. The school campaign specialized especially in rockets and other artifacts that kids get used to throwing, especially in the time of Fallas and Easter. Six years ago, the Dénia Local Police organized this kind of preventive and informative actions.

Lectures or conferences reporting on existing regulations, peculiarities of some pyrotechnical products, safe use tips and basic knowledge of first aid. Once finished, the students went outside and carried out shooting practice with rockets.

The campaign has targeted 11 and 12 year olds. A total of 337 schoolchildren from the Sagrado Corazón, Montgó, Paidos, Alfa & Omega, Pou de la Muntanya, Cervantes, Pare Pere de Jesús Pobre and La Xara school have participated in this edition.
