The Local Police of Denia, awarded for its program of road education

La Spanish Federation for Road Safety (FESVIAL) has awarded the prize for best practices in road safety to the Local Police in Dénia for its training program for moped drivers. The distinction has been gathered today in Madrid by the coordinator of Road Education of the Local Police of Dénia, Manuel Moreno Mas, in charge of imparting the program.

The training course for moped drivers of the Local Police of Denia is aimed at young people from 14 to 16 years and this year has completed its sixteenth edition. The course combines the theoretical classes, which deal with contents such as the documentation of the moped and the driver, the type of tracks and their characteristics, traffic signals, basic maneuvers, speed, moped mechanics or behavior under conditions adverse events and traffic accidents, with lectures and theoretical-practical sessions.

The FESVIAL awards, which this year are celebrating their sixth edition, are intended to publicly acknowledge the activity of the Local Police, its professionals and Official Training Centers in the field of road safety. These distinctions are delivered within the framework of the National Convention on Road Safety for Local Police in which Dénia will participate with the presentation on the award program that will offer agent Moreno tomorrow.
