La Peña Taurine La Maestranza pays tribute to the matador Antonio Vera in its 30º anniversary

La Peña Taurine La Maestranza de Dénia celebrates its thirtieth anniversary this weekend, and for this has prepared an intense program of events to be held on Saturday afternoon in which the killer Antonio Vera will have special prominence, which will be honored by the supporters.

The events begin at 18: 00 hours at the headquarters of the rock, in the restaurant Ca Rafa, with the tribute to Vera. The event will be attended by his sons, Juan Carlos, Antonio and Francisco; representatives of the Bullfighting School of Valencia; and some of his former students. Matadors are also invited Javier Vázquez, Miguel Cárdenas and Gregorio Tebar the Inclusero. Also attended by Andrés novilleros of Calpe and Dani Lozano; President Club Taurino Friends of Nimes in Alicante, Jose Mª Jericó; the president of the Taurine Federation of ValenciaJosé Miguel Soria; the president of the Bous al Carrer Federation, Vicente Nogueroles; the directors of the magazine Bous al CarrerAlberto de Jesus and Ricardo Monzó; and the program director of Radio taurino Ricardo Osca.

In the 19: 30 hours there will be a panel discussion on the present and future of bullfighting in the Costa Blanca Hotel which will involve the matador Rubén Pinar; the representative of livestock Party Resin Javier Morales; the bullfighting businessman Maximino Pérez; the Provincial Deputy of Taurine Affairs of Valencia, Antoni Gaspar; Juan Lamarca, president of the bullring of Las Ventas (Madrid) between 1984 and 2005); the chief surgeon of the bullring of Albacete, Dr. Pascual G. Masegosa; the veterinarian of the bullring of Las Ventas, Secundino Ortuño; the director of the magazine CheersJosé Luis Benlloch; director Avance Taurino, Paco Delgado; and the journalist Enrique Amat.

The events will end with a dinner, at 22: 00 hours in the restaurant La Casa del Poble Arròs.
