July hotel occupancy exceeds 10 2010 data points

Pepa Font, Councilor for Tourism of the City of Dénia, presented this morning the tourist data obtained in the month of July. Nail positive figures compared to the previous year that have exceeded the initial forecasts that had been made from the Department and the Dénia Tourism Office.

In July there have been approximately 80% occupancy in hotels, 10 points in 2010, and the figures have remained rents and occupancy in campsites. Of the total visitors with a 60% are domestic tourists, of which a high percentage comes from Madrid, and a 40% is made up of foreign tourists, to a greater extent of French nationality. It should also be noted that 36.000 people have come to the information points of the Tourist Office on Calle Marqués de Campo and Esplanade Cervantes, as well as the headquarters of the organization. From these visits, it has been extracted that visitors prefer the beach as an activity, followed by parties and cultural and environmental visits.

The councilor has indicated that it is important for Dénia that Create loyal tourists and that this is everyone's job, offering tourists all the excellence possible. Font has also remarked that it is not only about making money, rather, about offering the best we have so that in the future that person returns.
