The new Minister of Public Health and Universal Health, Ana Barceló, has released her position making the first visit as such to Dénia. Here he has met with the mayor, Vicent Grimalt, and the councilor for health, Cristina Morera, to transfer the state in which they are currently negotiations to revert the Dénia Hospital to public management.

According to Barceló, talks have begun, and he has claimed responsibility for "accelerate as far as possible the reversion of Dénia, but with all legal guarantees". Of course, the new Councilor has admitted that commitment "It requires an agreement with all legal guarantees so that it can come to fruition".

As for a possible date for that reversal to become a reality, everything seems to point out that it will not be before 2024, the date on which the concession ends, despite recognizing that "these negotiations have a good pace, but there is still work to conclude and it is premature to still give a date. "

The Councilor has taken advantage of his visit to Dénia to meet with representatives of the Platform for Public Health of the Marina Alta and Xarxa d'Alcaldes. Pascuala Torregrosa and Rosa Giner, of the platform, have acknowledged not trusting that the reversion will come during this legislature because "It ends very soon", but they have affirmed that they have found a conseller "open and that is clear that he wants to reverse". For the Platform, the most important thing is that the service offered by the Hospital to the residents of the Marina Alta be closely monitored.
