The Marina Alta has a challenge: to become the first socially responsible territory

Achieve sustainability by maintaining growth by consuming products and services that are more respectful of the environment and improving the competitiveness of companies and institutions. And also be the first to get it. That is the challenge that the Marina Alta has set to meet one of the objectives set by the United Nations to achieve in 2030.

That is why for months, companies and public and private entities delve into the importance of social responsibility. A theme that will be addressed, next June, in a course organized by the Seu Universitària of the University of Alicante in Dénia.

The days 7, 8 9 y de Junio, riding a The House of Paraula from Baleària Port, the Circular Economy course will be held, the road towards sustainable development. During those days, national experts in sustainability will offer specific training to incorporate the circular economy into day-to-day business and institutions.

The course has the support of Cercle d'Empresaris of the Marina Alta (CEDMA), an activity that for the president, Sonja Dietz, "promises a lot". In addition, since CEDMA have been betting for this turn in the companies for months with the organization of round tables, talks and all kinds of activities whose conclusions will materialize in the future Code of Ethics for the Marina Alta, applicable to the tourism sector, as well as the elaboration of an annual report of socially responsible territory.

He too City of Dénia supports this initiative. The Deputy Mayor, Rafa Carrió, has emphasized the need for public entities to follow this line of work in order to value the territory within the framework of a dialogue between the different actors that make it up.

For its part, Red Cross Dénia He joins this activity as a representative of the third sector, the social sector, with the hope that there will be more and more synergies and more sustainable.

It is one of the few official courses of the University of Alicante. The registration they have a price of 40 euros for students and unemployed and 60 euros for the rest. The inscriptions can be made through its website.
