The Marina Alta offers a "sip of culture" in the I Mostra de Vins International Singulars i Poble
When the Iberians Alt Benimaquia people in the Montgó, became the first winegrowers in the area, they knew very well what they were doing. The raw material is in the Marina Alta is more conducive to produce wines of the highest quality, even though they do not have a brand that makes them recognizable in the world.
That first production of wines of the region tries to recover today, to return the product lost dignity throughout history. In the region, there are many people who, anonymously, struggling to regain our traditions and our territory, and thanks to that attitude born initiatives as to be held next June in Jesus Pobre.
This is the I Mostra de Vins International Singulars i Poble Marina Alta which will host the riurau of Jesus Pobre, the 18 and 19 June days. A meeting for amateurs and wine professionals from around the world where you can discover the richness of the wines currently generated in the Marina Alta but also as far afield as New Zealand or Italy.
This I Mostra is the letter of the new Associació de Vins i Poble Singulars Marina Alta Mara Bañó presiding, young businesswoman has made his cellar, Les Freses, Is placed between the reference wineries Valencia. Mara Bañó explained that this fair is born with the spirit of the Mercat of riurau held every Sunday in Jesus Pobre, and serves as a meeting point between producers and consumers. Thus, the International Mostra de Vins I Singulars i Poble aims to create a meeting point between the two sides in the world of wine, allowing also share experiences and knowledge.
18 Sunday June afternoon, the Mostra will be open to the general public. Each ticket will allow for 8 euros, taste three different wines from more than 20 wineries participating in the meeting. At the moment there confirmed 23 wineries, three of them in the region, although they hope to have up to 26 houses from the organization altogether. On Monday the day 19 be aimed at professionals, taking place during the morning.
The I Mostra de Vins Singulars i de Poble de la Marina Alta has the support of the town councils of Dénia and Jesús Pobre; the AEHTMA association; sommelier José Antonio Navarrete, from Quique Dacosta's restaurant, and the project Creative City of Gastronomy UNESCO.
