MACMA claims the sweets of a lifetime in Jesús Pobre
Last Sunday, coinciding with the Mercat del Riurau and the Fira de Brocanters de Jesús Pobre on the first Sunday of the month, MACMA presented the recipe book of traditional sweets Boosteria to the Marina Alta. A work that vindicates the validity of lifelong sweets and at the same time underlines the essence of proximity ingredients, as the mayor of Jesús Pobre, Javier Scotto, and the Councilor for Culture pointed out in the introduction of the book, Josep Fornés. Already in the presentation of the volume, MACMA manager Jovi Seser summarized the nearly one hundred recipes that guide the work and that, beyond the Moorish imprint that characterizes them, intend to claim their reintegration in the kitchens of the houses of the region and, above all, in restaurant kitchens.
Boosteria to the Marina Alta, un proyecto concebido por Vicent Ortuño, fundador de la MACMA, se editó ahora hace diez años con motivo de la conmemoración del 400 aniversario de la expulsión de los moriscos y se agotó durante el primer año de publicación. La actual reedición del trabajo pretende acercar este legado gastronómico a las nuevas generaciones y, además, ha sido distribuido a las librerías de la comarca y de las comarcas vecinas para satisfacer la demanda de ejemplares y así ampliar el eco de la iniciativa. No en balde, la MACMA seguirá presentando el trabajo a lo largo del mes de diciembre. El próximo sábado día 7, de hecho, el libro será presentado en Sagra (Ayuntamiento, 19 horas) mientras que domingo siguiente el recetario llegará a Vall de Gallinera (Benialí, 13 horas) dentro de la IV Festa de l’Oli. La semana siguiente, el miércoles 11 de diciembre, el volumen llegará a la Librería Publics de Dénia con el formato de una presentación-merienda.
