The flame of the 'XII Mini Jocs Olímpics It burns in the pebble
The "XII Mini Jocs Olímpics the Marina Alta" Began with the inauguration ceremony which was attended by the Director General of Sports, Josep Miquel Moya, with the President of the Consorci Esportiu Marina Alta (CEMA), Vicent Colomer and the municipal authorities of all the participating delegations.
As usual, the event began with the parade on the athletic track of the municipal sports center of Dénia, which headed the youth band of the Music Association of Dénia, followed by the Olympic flag and each of the participating delegations.
Subsequently the members of the "Muixeranga de Pego" performed a small representation of figures and human towers. The event followed with an emotional moment like the Olympic oath they made, an umpire, Victor Cuellar, a coach, Javier Piles and the sportswoman, Ana Muñoz, which served to highlight the nobility and especially the clean competition. All three were committed to competing and administering justice in the most loyal way possible.
It was the turn of speeches, the first to speak was the president of the CEMA, Vicent Colomer, who had words of thanks for all those who make possible the celebration of this sporting event. Colomer had words of remembrance for the three cyclists of Xàbia who died run over. The audience attends the act and gave them a standing ovation in their memory.
The General Director of Sports of the Valencian Community, Josep Miquel Moya, was present again in this event and influenced his parliament on the importance of sport in society and I wish everyone a good competition.
The mayor of Denia, Vicent Grimalt, hosted the games welcomed all the participants and companions that during the weekend will be competing.
The tennis player, Silvia Bordes, lit the cauldron
One of the most emotional moments was when the Olympic torch entered the sports center, with Silvia Bordes, the Dianan tennis player, who proceeded to ignite the cauldron that will keep the Olympic flame until Sunday at noon when the games end .
