Baleària Foundation aims to promote science among young people through a series of lectures

The Fundació Baleària has proposed to motivate young people to study scientific careers, awaken their curiosity about science and familiarity with scientific researchers. To this end, it has organized a series of conferences aimed at this public that will take place in February and April in The House of Paraula from the Maritime Station.

On Friday 26 in February the Professor of Physics at the Jaume I University of Castellón and Director of the Advanced Materials Institute of the same university, the Dianense Juan Bisquert, will speak about Future renewable energy: photovoltaic and solar fuel. Bisquert analyze the causes that have led to the planet's temperature has increased over the past centuries and the greenhouse effect that causes global climate change.

The next conference will be held on Thursday, April 21. Antonio Pich, PhD in Physics from the University of Valencia, will discuss The Bosson Highs: A window on the frontier of knowledge. It will discuss the exciting stage of scientific research looming after the discovery of a particle at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN.
