Baleària Foundation delivers more than a thousand kilos of food to orphaned children in Tetuan

The Baleària Foundation, through the solidarity campaign 'Xiquets de Tànger i Tetuàn' has delivered more than a thousand kilos of non-perishable food, as well as hygienic and educational material to the home of children without family Dari in Tetuán, in Morocco. In addition to food, the volunteers donated an electric oven, a kitchen set, a bread mixer and several mattresses.

The manager of the Baleària Foundation, Ricard Pérez, and two volunteers from the entity traveled to Morocco to make the delivery in person. They were also accompanied on the journey by the heads of the Algecirean NGO Mediterranean Society for Dialogue and Cooperation. In Tetouan, they were received by the consul of Spain, Francisco Ochoa, and those in charge of the Dari home.

Dari Tetuan center belongs to the private association Amal al Atfal and is responsible for hosting and attending in residence for children who lack family and, in most cases, have been abandoned at the time of his birth. 25 of all children currently residing in Dari, three of them are suffering from severe disabilities.
