La filà Abencerrajes wins the paella contest of the Mayorales de Sant Roc

The paella elaborated by the filà Abencerrajes has been, for the qualifying jury, the best of the 18 that have been prepared this Sunday in the traditional paella contest of the Sant Roc festivities, organized in this case by the Mayorales.

Once again, as a stage, the Marqués de Campo street, where the heat has not let up but has not prevented hundreds of people from coming to see live the development of our most international dish made with wood.

The Charanga Dianense Toca't Un Ou They have been in charge of putting music to the morning until, at 14:30 p.m., the participants have presented the paellas to the jury. On this occasion the dishes were scored by the party councilor, Óscar Mengual; the captains 2017, MªJosé López and Kiko Sentí; the mayor, Emilio Fuentenebro; and the hotelier Amor Lydia López on behalf of Aehtma.

The second prize was for the Moravian captaincy, the Amazigh filà, and the third prize for the Filà Amiries, which at the time of delivery were not. In total they have participated 14 of the 16 filaes of Dénia, in addition to the festeros of carrer Sant Pere; the Club Natació Dénia and the group of friends Ximo Smash.
