La Falla París Pedrera, disappointed with the Local Board for not receiving their support in the plant incident
Almost a week after the fallas festivities ended, the Falla Paris Pedrera commission has shared a statement showing its discomfort with the behavior of the Fallera Local Board after the incident that marked the planting of its monument in 2023.
At dawn from March 14 to 15, "some unusual events occurred, which have been widely known to all," the statement begins. A neighbor called the police to report noise and the agents of the Dénia Local Police paralyzed the plant, "instead of explaining the situation," regrets the commission. The moment caused "serious damage to this Falla commission, something that had never happened in the 45 years that the Falla has been planting," they say.
Since then, the Fallas commission claims to have received calls for support and encouragement from various groups and people both in the city and outside of it. However, they denounce: «The lack of concern on the part of the Fallera Local Board has been notable, since it has not been interested in the situation nor has it appeared in the place to mediate in the problem. Given this lack of attention, the commission had to request an extraordinary assembly to request a change in the jury's visit to the faults, the only fault being the special Baix la mar which gave them their position.
París Pedrera explains that they were finally able to finish the plant, with the support of the Dénia City Council, on March 17 at 08:15 in the morning. «Fortunately, the mayor Vicent Grimalt and the councilors Oscar Mengual and Javier Scotto appeared in the Fallas demarcation to inquire about their situation and offer their support. In this way, the Falla appreciates the support received by numerous groups, but they see it as necessary to make their discontent public "seeing the respect and empathy that this Fallera Local Board has shown us during this legislature and previous ones in different situations in which we have seen ourselves as affected party, we decided to make this statement. Finally, they have added: «If it were up to the Fallera Local Board, we still would not have planted the fault and the truth is that we have not been worthy of being made even a miserable call»
