Elite starred in the second day sailing Boat Show Dénia

The second day of the VIII Dénia Boat Show had two proper names: Alex Pella and Theresa Zabell. The sailors participated in some of the activities proposed for Saturday and which had an important participation of the public.

The oceanic navigator and newly winner of the Route du RhumAlex Pella, gave a talk in which he spoke of his origins as a navigator and conducted a review of all its achievements. "What I love is sailing alone and it is the discipline in which I find myself most comfortable".

For its part, the Olympic medalist Theresa Zabell, president of the Foundation Ecomar, taught the children to recycle through ecological workshops. He explained, "One way to raise awareness among children and young people of respect for the environment is to see for themselves how the beaches and coasts of our geography are. We develop volunteer workshops and teach participants to recycle the garbage that reaches our shores and the importance of protecting our coastline from cigarette butts, cans, plastics and glass. "

Children were also protagonists of the second day, where the awards ceremony of the contest was II Dénia Marine Reserve Drawing Contest. Jhonny Angulo, Cervantes school and college Melisa Valaeva Llebeig, were the winners.

Sunday activities continue with workshops, catamaran trips to the Marine Reserve and rowing and canoe. In addition, the 12 hours display will be made with dogs Newfoundland Salvage. The event also hosts an exhibition on underwater photography.
