Dianense Lara Pons, the best of the girls in the Xàbia stage of the 'Volta Ciclista a la Marina'

The young dianense cyclist Lara Pons comes from achieving an important personal achievement after classifying as the best of the women in the Xàbia stage of the Volta Ciclista a la Marina. The test, which was held last Sunday, brought together 156 participants at the start, which occurred with a small delay due to reasons beyond the control of the Jávea Cycling Club.

Lara, belonging to the Velosol Cycling Team, managed to finish the 68 kilometers of which the stage was composed in a time of 1 hour 38 minutes 19 seconds, being the best of the women in her first race of a cycling event.

The cyclist Pedro José López, of the Uniforms Murcia training, was the winner of the second stage of the Volta Ciclista a la Marina to prevail in a tight sprint to Carlos Martín of the Ijes-Solar team.

In the race, the flying goals gave good account Moisés Espinós, Velosol Cycling, who walked more fine and attentive and scored both, also reaching the white jersey. The Mountain was shared between Vicente More of the Velosol Cycling, first in the Alto de Colomer and Pedro José López of the Murcia Uniforms that won Mountain and stage. Lopez, with this victory, is the leader and put on the jersey of First Alicantino, also that of Masters 30.

The next stage will be this Sunday, January 27, with departure and arrival in Villajoyosa.
