The fourth wave is here: infections are triggered in the Marina Alta and Dénia

The Ministry of Health has published the new coronavirus data by municipalities, which confirm what we already suspected: a new wave of coronavirus is hitting the region.

The Marina Alta suddenly adds 83 new infections, standing at 10.304 since March 2020. Of these, 134 are currently active, so the accumulated incidence shoots up to 78,53 infections per 100.000 inhabitants. Therefore, the region is at a medium contagion risk level.

The case of Dénia is not much better, which abandons the new normal to, suddenly, also place itself at a medium risk level of contagion. It has added 15 new infections, leaving 23 active of the 3.183 cases registered since the start of the pandemic. This means that the incidence also increases to 53,70 infections.
