Raquel Payà enlargement and fit into the plans of the Ministry of Education

The Department of Education this week announced investments in educational infrastructure that will perform in the coming years, in order of priority. Joy reigned in the educational community of Denia, which benefits in this list of construction and expansion of three historically demanded centers: the college of La Xara, special education school Raquel Payà and the IES María Ibars. In total, about 7 million euros to be invested in improving educational infrastructure in the capital of the region.

In order of priority, the construction of the College of La Xara, with a budget of 3,2 million, ranked No. 31 in the list of the Department. The works, which are planned to start during the second half of the year, expected to be completed in November 2017 when the school will release center.

The second priority in Dénia center for the Department's special education school Raquel Payà, whose works, budgeted at more than 3,4 million euros, will begin in the first half of 2017 and will last until the first quarter of 2018.

The councilor of education of the City of Dénia, Rafa Carrió, said when he learned the news that although they have been on this issue since the beginning of the legislature, "You have to be aware so that it becomes a reality as soon as possible". The extension of the special education school Raquel Payà, attended by school children from all over the region, was already a historical demand of the educational community, since part of the students has been attending 16 classes in barracks for years.

Finally, the IES María Ibars also appears in the list of actions to be taken by the Department of Education.
