Juan Salvador Pérez, 'Pegaso', wins the elections to the presidency of the Local Board Fallera de Dénia
Juan Salvador Pérez, Pegaso, from the West Fault, is the new president of the Local Board Fallera de Dénia to win a few historical votes for the failures of Dénia.
During the day, 379 falleros of the eleven Dénia commissions have exercised their right to vote at the headquarters of the Local Board, on Sertorio Street.
Finally, Pérez Llopis won with 278 votes compared to the 97 votes collected by José Antonio Monsonis. To these votes we must add two blank votes and two null votes. This means that Pegaso has won these votes with 73% of the votes.
Passed the 18: 00 hours, the two candidates have been summoned to the headquarters of the Board, where they waited for the two presidents of failure who have served as vocals, the acting secretary of the Local Board Fallera, the outgoing president, José Vicente Benavente; the mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt; the party councilor, Óscar Mengual; and the greater faller of Dénia, Amparo Petrie. Salvador Llorens, has read the minutes of the day, which gave as winner to Juan Salvador Pérez.
Those of this Sunday have been a few votes that have made history: it was the first time that all the falleros and falleras registered in the past exercise and greater than 18 year had in their hands to choose the new president of the Local Board Fallera.
The profile of the new president
The already president of the Local Board Fallera de Dénia is registered in the world of faults since 1991, when his father held the presidency of the West fault. Since then he has accumulated 20 exercises working for the world of faults. In the last legislature, he has been part of the Fallera Local Board chaired by José Vicente Benavente as treasurer, an experience that has led him to be encouraged to present himself as president of the festive organism.
Pegaso has 44 years, is married and has a daughter. Facing this candidacy, he has formed a group of people from different commissions that accumulate a lot of experience in the world of faults.

- Save Llorens Fornés
Fallero de Baix la Mar from year 1987. In his 31 years of fallero he has held the presidency of the commission in the 2000 year. He was vice president of the Fallera Local Board presided over by Jaume Bertomeu and secretary of the Fallera Local Board chaired by José Vicente Benavente.
- Bertomeu Jaume Catalán
It belongs to the Center fault from the 1986-1987 exercise. In his commission he has been president twice, in the 97 and the 2001. Jaume Bertomeu was president of the Local Fallera Board of Dénia between 2011 and 2015, and vice president of the same body between 2017 and 2019.
- Antonio Vargas Zurita
Fallero from 1980, first in the Les Roques fault and then in the West fault, to which it belongs since the 1993 year. He has been a Local Board delegate for 13 years and chairman of his committee in the 2003-2004 exercise. Between 2017 and 2019 he has been vice president of the Fallera Local Board.
- Vicent Ivars Mengual
Better known as 'Cacahuera' in the fallero world. It belongs to the Baix la Mar fault, of which it has been president in the 2010-2011 year. Tireless worker, he has been part of the Fallera Local Board in the 2015-2017 legislature and in the 2017-2019 legislature.
- Elena Sepúlveda Lópezz
Since the year 1991 belongs to the Campaments fault, belonging to the board of the commission for more than 20 years. It was the biggest faller in the 2003 / 04 exercise and the honor court of the major faller of Denia in the 2004 / 2005 exercise. She has been a member of the executive board of the Local Board Fallera de Dénia in the 2017-2019 legislature.
- Raquel Martín Pérez

- Paco Arnau Soler
Historical member of the festivities in Dénia, beyond the faults. Paco currently belongs to the Diana fault. He has been a party councilor and president of the Comissió de Festes de la Mare de Déu dels Desemparats, always collaborating with the faults. He was a member of the Local Fallera Board between 2017 and 2019.
- Salvador Berruti Round
It is part of the Campaments fault since 1999, where he has held the presidency twice. Member of a family very faller, his children have held the highest positions of the commission. Salvador has been a member of the Local Fallera Board of Dénia.
- María Jiménez Vinaroz
