Joan Sala and Athletics Club Baleària Dianium received awards from the Tardor

Compromís per Dénia, celebrated its traditional delivery of the Tardor awards in an event that summoned more than 200 people in the auditorium of the Municipal House of Culture of Dénia.

The winners in this XXI edition were the ecologist, Joan Sala and the Baleària Diànium Athletics Club. The political note of the act were the parliaments of Rafa Carrió, mayoral candidate and Joan Baldoví, deputy of Compromís in the Cortes Generales. This act was presented by the actor Paco Bertomeu.

The first who entered the stage was Toni Reig, friend and companion of the prizewinner, Joan Sala. Reig was in charge of narrating Sala's career as an ecological activist and defender of the territory. He was giving data and told anecdotes of the character and explained the reasons that earned him this award that bears the name of "Tomás Miquel Perelló".

Joan Sala thanked the group Compromís and all the colleagues who have been on the road during his long and intense career as a defender of the environment.

The next protagonist of the event was Ricard Pérez, Vice President of the Athletics Club Baleària Diànium, who was in charge of unraveling the merits that the club has made to win the prize. Fundamental work that their athletes have done with their results and also the relatives and supporters of the work carried out clearly committed to the city of Dénia.

The club secretary, Vicente Fornés was in charge of collecting the award of an entity that stands to bring the name of Denia at the highest levels of competition thanks to the work and effort that their athletes perform every day and by doing so always using the Valencian language.
