After taking office last Friday, Bertomeu, accompanied by the secretary, Salva Llorens, the first vice president, Antonio Vargas, and the treasurer, Rosa Pastor, met with the mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, and the councilor of Fiestas, Oscar Mengual, to know first-hand the position of the consistory in the current situation that the Fallas world is experiencing.

Bertomeu has been very satisfied with the support shown by the City Council in this first meeting, which has served to start working in the same direction.

For his part, the mayor, Vicent Grimalt, congratulated the new executive and its president, and offered the support of the City Council to the decision that the fallas take regarding the dates of celebration of the festivities.

The Party Councilor, Óscar Mengual, has taken the opportunity to highlight the figure of the older falleras of Dénia, Safir Malonda and Martina Gimeno, and the role they are developing in a particularly complicated exercise.

This first meeting is part of the objective established by the president, Jaume Bertomeu, of holding three fundamental meetings to transfer all possible information to the fallas with a view to choosing the date of celebration of the Fallas. Informative meetings will be held soon with the Alicante Provincial Council and with the Fallas Monitoring Table.
