The IV Winecanting of Dénia offered more than 1.600 tastings

Last Friday afternoon, Plaza del Consell de Dénia hosted a new edition of Winecanting, an event organized by the Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Origin Alicante that brought together 23 wineries throughout the Comunitat Valenciana, five of them Navy High.

More than 1.600 wine tastings were held during the hours of the event. Many local and foreign tourists were able to get acquainted first hand with the Alicante wineries and its novelties, which is a great incentive for "The surprise and the motivation that they transmit to us when trying our products and to be able to share the wealth of our towns, regions and our wine heritage" Said the president of the Regulatory Council, Antonio M. Navarro.

For the inauguration, the president was accompanied by the mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt as well as by the Deputy for Promotion and Local Development of the Alicante Provincial Council, Sebastián Cañadas, the Deputy Director of Rural Development of the Department of Agriculture, Vicente Zamorano and by the Manager of the Marina Alta Hospitality Entrepreneurs Association, AEHTMA, Reme Cerdá. With the latter, the Alicante PDO Wines have also carried out a promotion that wanted to complete the presence of the wines in 14 establishments of the association.
