One of the first popular races held at the beginning of each year is the King cake that takes place on the premises of Marina Denia. The big news for this year is to be a day-night race and not as it had been in previous years.

This sporting event will take place on January 3 to 11: 00 hours with departure and arrival inside Marina Denia. The route is 4.600 meters which makes it affordable for everyone to not be very demanding.

During the presentation of the race director Marina Dénia, Gabriel Martínez said, "The objective of this race is to bring the sea to the entire population and that the whole family can go jogging and celebrate the beginning of the year".

Andrés Ponce, Chief of Operations of Marina Dénia commented, “We think will do better in the morning time and is why we have decided to go for this change. At night the temperature dropped enough and this was not good especially when delivering trophies as people were leaving".

Registration, which costs 5 euros, is open until late Friday January 1 can be made through the following websites. The president of the Club Rem Dénia, Miguel Camarena sent the following message. "I encourage people to sign up via the website since the day of the race have few dorsal",

As usual in this race there will be prizes for the top three finishers in the categories Junior, Senior, Veteran Club and more numerous both male and female. The award is the traditional Three Kings Cake and a bottle of wine.

This year the trial has a new collaborator, Clinica Rema and its representative, Cindy Van Gerwen commented, "we like to support the sport in our city, we are pleased to collaborate with eta career. This year we have reached an agreement and each runner submitted with the dorsal, will have a special discount on a stress test with one of our cardiologists, in order to prevent sudden death".
