Dénia paid tribute this weekend to the footballers of the city's first women's team, who have left their mark on the history of local sport. In an emotional act, the players signed a ball that will be delivered to the girls and young people of the Municipal Soccer School.

The mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, highlighted the importance of making visible the role of women in sport, stating that it is essential that the new generations know that "you can say, be and do what you want to say, be and do". In this sense, the mayor stressed that all women have the right to walk the paths they want without fear.
