Grimalt accuses popular have not performed sewers in the Montgó

January 29 from 2015 - 09: 30

The leader of the socialists of the capital of La Marina Alta, Vicent Grimalt, has denounced the deficient situation of the city in terms of sanitation infrastructure, since there are more than 20.000 homes that are without connection to the sewerage system.

On the other hand, the announcement by the Councilor for Urban Planning of the project with which they are going to provide sanitation to some 235 homes seems ridiculous, when, in the words of Grimalt, they have paralyzed the 11 million euros that the Socialists obtained for the sewage system de Les Rotes-Montgó, by not finding a solution to the problems that arose in the execution of the works carried out by the Júcar Hydrographic Confederation (CHJ). "Chelet the surprising announcement comes after the fiasco and the resulting paralysis macroproject Montgó and sewerage les Rotes, which is still bogged down after 3 years"says Grimalt.

In turn, the socialist mayor in the next May municipal elections makes clear his party's commitment to "end the prolonged situation of paralysis of the project, urging CHJ to complete the works"Or, in case obstacles arise to do so,"Look for another way to provide a solution to citizens residing in the area, who are screaming for a sanitation network, and avoid a greater environmental disaster by dumping waste in a protected area, between the natural park and the marine reserve".

"For the moment, the only thing that Chelet and Kringe have done in this regard has been to judicialize the problems arising in the works, because they never had a real will to expand the sanitation network of our city", exposes the Secretary General of the PSPV-PSOE Dénia, who has recalled the unfortunate state of the roads. Vicent Grimalt has indicated that "of little use in international tourism promotion fairs, if when tourists come to visit Montgó vials are in the state in which they are".

Add that "Faced with the small infrastructure supply announced by Vicente Chelet, we reinforce the commitment that we undertook in the previous socialist government to provide sewerage to a large number of homes in the city".

grants losses

In addition to the 11 million grant lost, for now, from the Les Rotes-Montgó sewerage project, the socialist leader recalls that we must add to that figure the more than five million euros of investment for city projects that have been let slip by the corporation headed by Ana Kringe. Within the 'Dénia Futur' project, the city has stopped receiving a 2 million subsidy to carry out the works of the Ecopark (500.000 euros) and the Bosc de Diana (1.500.000 euros).

On the other hand, the 7.000 euros from the ONCE mobility project never reached the municipal coffers, the 300.000 euros from the 2nd Plan E of the Central Government, the 280.000 euros from Dénia Moderniza, the 450.000 euros from the ARI of the Les Roques neighborhood, 400.000 euros for the expansion of the public bicycle network and 1.800.000 euros for the rehabilitation of the historic Casa de Torrecremada. A fact, according to the socialist leader, product of the government team's neglect of the needs of citizens who deserve a better Dénia.

Despite these figures, “Now, 116 days before the elections, Ana Kringe will come with suitcases full of new promises, when she has been losing the subsidies that we socialists get for years", said the leader of the socialists.
