The UNED Senior program and the Spanish course for foreigners

The university headquarters of the UNED in Dénia has celebrated this week the closure of the UNED Senior program and the Spanish workshop for foreigners that has been developed during this course.

The UNED Senior, aimed at people over 55 years, has offered several courses that have been taught in two quarters, both in the center of Dénia and in the Aula de Xàbia. In Dénia, students have been able to learn about universal literature, art, computer science, music and writing workshop, while in Xàbia, other disciplines have been taught such as literary gatherings, physical condition and health in the mature age, plus common subjects such as art and computer.

The academic coordinator, María Ángeles Menéndez, the Coordinator of the UNED Senior, Jessica Agulles, along with the lecturers who gave classes during this academic year participated in the closing of the course. In addition, there has been an exceptional guest, the writer Manel Arcos, who has offered an interesting presentation on Banditry in the Valencian Country throughout the 19th century. After his presentation, the students of the writing workshop presented some of the work done throughout the course. To conclude, the diplomas of the Senior Program and the Workshop of Spanish for Foreigners have been delivered to all those who have participated.
