Exhibition, fair and lots of history by the 20º anniversary of the association Friends of Joguet Denia
This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the creation of the Associació Amics del Joguet de Dénia. And like every year at this time, they have released the Fira del Joguet Antic, To be held on December 10.
But this year, to commemorate the anniversary, the association has scheduled several events, all with the intention to value the toy story Dénia. And it is precisely this goal around which revolve the proposed activities. The program includes an exhibition, presenting a documentary and a book and a day Monopoly.
Toys Exhibition Dénia
The programming starts with the inauguration on December 2, the commemorative exhibition of the Association 20 years. Mayte explained Carrió, member of the Association, this exhibition will be a tour of the activities carried out during these years. But not only that. The exhibition will include pieces emblematic jugueteras and collaboration of the Museum of Carthage.
The exhibition will be in the Center d'Art L'EstacioUntil next January 8.
Monopoly Tournament II
On Sunday December 4, the Dénia Maritime Station will host the II Monopoly Baleària Tournament. Juan Fernández Moro, collector of this game and tournament organizer, made an appeal to fans of Monopoly. The tournament will be held at 10 14 morning hours and there will be prizes for the winners.
Presentation of the documentary Els Joguets de Dénia. Les veus i els colors de la memòria
December 7 Wednesday will be presented Els Joguets de Dénia. Les veus i els colors de la memòria. It is an audiovisual piece by Pau Ivars, Vicente Sanz and Mónica Zamora who recalls how Dénia lived boom of the toy industry.
As he stated by Ivars itself, «la historia del jueguete en Dénia es apasionante y poco reconocida». That is why this documentary attempt to bring such an important piece of our history to the general public.
Presentation of the book Florido dolls. 1917-1945
The commemoration of the twentieth anniversary of the association will continue on Friday December 9. That day, the author Carmen López de Lerma present his book Florido dolls. 1917-1945, Which takes a journey through the history of the creator of Mariquita Pérez.
In addition, Lopez de Lerma moved that during the presentation will also talk about the short history of making dolls Dénia. And, even though Florido was a doll factory in Madrid for the preparation of this book the author had the invaluable collaboration of the members of the Association.
XIX Toy Fair Old and Collectables
The culminating point of the celebrations will be on Saturday, December 10, when the traditional fair will be installed on Calle Marqués de Campo. The XIX Antique Toy and Collecting Fair will feature the participation of about twenty stops for buying and selling toys.
Also, like every year, the Friends Association of Dénia Joguet Antic will have the collaboration of IES Chabas Historian. Students of Professor Jesús Martínez organize street games and table to engage the audience.
