The value of the authenticity of ours is evident in the II Mostra de Vins Singulars i de Poble

12 June 2018 - 09: 14

About thirty wineries gathered this weekend at the Gran Riurau de Jesús Pobre to participate in the II International Exhibition of Vins Singulars i de Poble, an appointment that has been consolidated in the EATIM calendar and that has turned the riurau into an agora of knowledge of the stories that are hidden behind each small winery and each small producer.

The president of the Associació de Vins Singulars i de Poble, Mara Bañó, was very satisfied with the result of this second edition, which, in the absence of the count of the tastings, is estimated to be above the 5.000 that were made in the first edition.

For Bañó, the importance of this shows lies in the valorisation of small producers, of knowing the world of wine beyond the large wineries. In this regard, he highlighted the good reception that the Pink Party held on Friday, where the rosé wine was the protagonist.

The president of the association highlighted the uniqueness of the Marina Alta and its wines, since they are born in a rural but also cosmopolitan, something that has attracted a lot of participants in this second edition.

The mayor of Jesús Pobre, Javier Scotto, highlighted the regeneration of the elements of all life and the reinvention of tradition. Scotto considers the sample as "a success for the association, for the primary sector, for wine tourism and for wine culture".

Autonomous support to the Mostra de Vins

The third day of the Mostra de Vins, held on Monday morning, was attended by the regional secretaries of agriculture and tourism, Francisco Rodríguez Mulero and Francesc Colomer. Rodríguez Mulero stressed that this exhibition extols the territory as a space of tradition and culture, while Francesc Colomer recalled that initiatives such as this are the basis of the internationalization project of Dénia as the Creative City of Gastronomy of UNESCO.
