The sea storm last weekend, which forced the placing of the red flag on Saturday throughout the Dianense coastline, has forced the City Council to activate a special cleaning device.

Last night 900 tons of seaweed were collected from Marge Roig (29 trucks), Marineta Cassiana (50 trucks) and Punta del Raset (15 trucks).

As of Wednesday, the bathtub trucks will be incorporated, which will be in charge, for three days, of removing the mountains of algae.

The works, according to the council, will continue tonight in those three areas and at the points where there are bars installed, and will advance towards the Marines during the week. Cleaning and screening tasks are also maintained in the part of the sand that is free of posidonia.
