The Regional Secretary for Education confirmed that the conservatory Dénia Tenor Cortis not disappear

The regional secretary of education, Miquel Soler, visited the city of Dénia on Monday to learn firsthand about the educational needs of some of the centers. In addition to visiting the two-year classrooms of the Vessanes and Cervantes schools, Soler visited the special education school Raquel Payà and met with the director of the music conservatory Tenor Cortis, who confirmed that the center will continue to operate despite the reordering of the school map in which the Consellería is working.

The mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, showed the willingness of the city council to collaborate with the Department in the adaptation of the current infrastructures of the center, which do not comply with the regulations. Soler regretted the statements about the possible disappearance of the center and reiterated that "Everything published regarding the disappearance of the center is false."

Currently the Department of Education is working on a new map of the conservatories of Valencia, a proposal to be prepared throughout this year and then be raised to the various municipalities.

As for the rest of educational demands in the city, the meetings focused on evaluating the performance of new classrooms in two years in the Cervantes and Vessanes, a project for the Regional Secretary has become a "total success". Dénia was last September, one of the first cities in the Region to host these pilot classrooms, which will continue next year and will be expanded in other cities.

Miquel Soler also visited the special education school Raquel Payà, where he met with its director, Miquel Espí. Raquel Payà is one of the centers where the Department is scheduled to perform in infrastructure to remove prefabricated classrooms. Works are scheduled for next year, said the Regional Secretary, the Ministry is specifying what the best implementation project for the center.

The last visit was regional secretary María Ibars school, center where a performance infrastructure is planned to eliminate the barracks. Taking advantage of the structural reorganization of the center, the Department will consider what kind of infrastructure needed to provide a specific training offer. The goal of education is that every region of Valencia revealed, through consultation with business, unions and other concerned actors, in what industry wants to emphasize its activity to so design the training needs of each area and supply vocational training centers for the academic year 2017-2018.

Throughout the day, the regional secretary was accompanied by the mayor of the city and the councilor of education of the city of Dénia, Rafa Carrió.
