Republican sanatorium Beniadlà will be rehabilitated by the management of health in the Marina Alta

The socialist group of Dénia achieved in the plenary session on Thursday that the Dénia city council approved a motion in which they urge the health concession company in the Marina Alta to rehabilitate the building of the old republican sanatorium that is in the state of ruin next to the Marina Salud hospital in Beniadlà.

Vicent Grimalt, spokesman for the socialist group, recalled that the government of Ana Kringe began in January 2009 the administrative procedures to remove this historic property from the catalog of protected buildings, although later the Valencian Council of Culture urged the city council to safeguard it due to sentimental and historical value.

Grimalt has mentioned that "we are investigating if the property came to lose its protection, to affirm such a situation we will present a motion to the next plenary to repeal the January agreement of 2009 and begin the procedures for the inclusion of this property in the catalog of protected buildings. "
