06 October 2018 - 01: 23

Night of emotions in the medieval court of Ca Diana. Dressed in full dress, the commission celebrated the proclamation of its maximum representative, named like Lady Cristina Marín Mateos-Aparicio.

Rafael Soler acted as court minstrel, taking over from Juan Céspedes, who was in charge of the Diana falla presentations, but that night he had a special space reserved as president of the commission.

The doors of the court were opened to receive the members of the commission, all of them presented with their corresponding reverence. The president, escorted by the banner of Ca Diana, took his place to receive the guardian of the tradition, the queen and lady of Ca Diana, Lady Cristina.

The emotions for the protagonist of the night began to receive their predecessors, Azael and Pablo. Azael was commissioned to impose the band of senior faller, and took the opportunity to say goodbye through memories of a year that is ending and wishes for those who take over.

Already from her throne, Cristina set out to enjoy the best kept secret of the night: the name of her exaltador. The major faller could not hide his emotion when he discovered that his brother David was going to dedicate a few words to him. The complicity between the brothers was visible throughout the speech, which culminated with a big hug on stage.

In the turn of homage, Cristina and Juan received the affection of the Comissió de Festes de la Mare de Déu; the Filà Abencerrajes; the town hall party department; the child charges of the commission and Amparo Petrie, faller mayor of Dénia 2019.

Finally the protagonists of the night took the floor. First Juan, to make clear how proud he is of holding the position of president, having at his side all the people who support him. And then Cristina, overwhelmed by the affection of the entire audience, on a night in which Diana failed to show that dreams can come true.
