The Dénia Royal Yacht Club returns from the Spanish Kayak Championship with a gold and a bronze

The Dénia Royal Yacht Club moved last weekend to Palma de Mallorca to participate in the Spanish Sea Kayak Championship. The Dianense club competed with five paddlers in different categories.

Juan Carlos Pérez Nadal won the gold in the traditional veteran category k1, after taking a tour of 10 km embarking from the water and disembarking on the beach.

Toni Gil won a bronze in the k1 cadet category after competing on Saturday in a downwind tour of 9 km, departing from Costa d'En Blanes and arriving in Palma de Mallorca. The RCND's paddler, who faced almost 50 paddlers of his category, was a few meters from the silver.

Maik Dimitrov made a tour of 17 km downwind, in an exit with more than 200 paddlers from the beach of Portals Vells. Dimitrov achieved the fifth place in his category and the 16º place in the general.

Bernardo Linares obtained the eighth position in the traditional senior category, with a distance of 10 km, with start and end on the beach. Joan Moncho, of child B, got the 11º position doing a route of 3 km.

Jaime Portolés, President of the Real Club Náutico Dénia, has congratulated the dianenses paddlers for their effort and constant dedication shown in all competitions held since February and thanked them for their good results in this championship that marks the last appointment of the season in the Sea Kayak calendar.
