14 2015 April - 15: 51

The PSOE of Dénia wants to launch, in case of winning the elections, a landscape management strategy that gives more value to the municipal heritage and that creates or improves green areas that can act as a lung for the city. The number three of the candidacy, Javier Scotto, affirmed that actions of recovery, rehabilitation and articulation of heritage will be undertaken in areas such as the English Cemetery, Santa Lucía, the old railway houses, the old hospital, the Gas boiler. , the houses of the Marquesa de Valero de Palma and Sant Josep, the trinquet and the bunkers of the Civil War. The candidate pointed out the idea of «promocionar» Dénia through its heritage and recalled the need to rehabilitate the historic center-Barrio de Les Roques.

Regarding the creation of green areas, he pointed out three areas of action: the Bosc de Diana urban park project, the recovery and provision of content in the Torrecremada Gardens and the development of a master plan for the Dénia Castle. And said they are «compromisos realizables durante la próxima legislatura».

Una ciudad ‘pobre’, ‘degradada’ y piojosa’

For her part, the number 2 of the socialist candidacy, María José Ripoll, stressed that this beautifying plan is necessary «si se quiere dejar atrás la imagen de una Dénia degradada o piojosa«.

Socialists said that in the last seven years Denia has lost quality of life and even neighbors in some neighborhoods «degradados» or areas such as les Roques, the Avenida Marquesado-Sagunto-Sertorio avenue, Baix la Mar, Passeig del Saladar and Avenida de Alicante-Valencia-Gandia-Alcoy. And in this sense, they pointed out the need to create the figure of a neighborhood councilor that collects and manages the concerns and neighborhood needs.
