This weekend arrives in Dénia again Solidarity race Turkana. This initiative aims to finance the travel of volunteer doctors to the region of Turkana in Kenya patients to practice surgical operations in the area.
The 30% of enrollments of each person (including 200 500 and euros) will be allocated to fundraising solidarity initiative, and inscriptions which are around one hundred participants. This year is expected to reach the success of the last edition, in which close to 10.000 euros was raised.
The participants will be doctors and patients from the Clínico San Carlos and Ramón y Cajal hospitals in Madrid, and they will make the Dénia-Portixol de Xàbia route and vice versa on Saturday. At night, the trophies will be awarded and the project will be presented to the attendees. On Sunday, the participants will be able to dedicate themselves to free navigation.
