Countdown to the celebration of one of the largest gastronomic events nationwide. On September 29 and 30, the Paseo de la Marineta Cassiana will host the second edition of the D * na Gastronomic Festival Dénia, which this year will give special prominence to the product.

To do this, the gastronomic commissioner of this event, chef Quique Dacosta, has asked the 36 participating chefs about their fetish product, and the presentations that the chefs will make throughout the weekend will focus on this product.

In this sense, Dacosta recalled that the D * na will again have the presence of chefs of recognized prestige. Among them, Elena Arzak (Arzak restaurant) will talk about the chipirón; Dani García, from the restaurant that bears his name, will talk about tuna; Pepe Solla, from Casa Solla, about Galician fish; Oriol Castro de Disfrutar, on the espardenya, Vicky Sevilla, from Arrels, has chosen the red mullet; Nanin Pérez de Murri, the moringa; Miguel Angel Mayor, from Sucede, the citron and Nuria Morell from Nozomi, the pretty one.

Failing to specify the name of all the participating chefs, Dacosta has announced that they will be names different from those of the first edition.

Again this year, in Paseo de la Marineta Cassiana de Dénia a large table will be installed over 300 meters in front of the sea. On their two stages open to the public, the different chefs will offer talks and culinary demonstrations live in which they will present their flagship product. The festival will act as a showcase from which a selection of chefs from the Valencian Community will bring to the public the hallmarks of Mediterranean gastronomy: traditional dishes and an avant-garde cuisine rooted in its territory.

In addition to the presentations and creations of the cooks, D * na will also have recreational activities for the little ones, food trucks area, chill out areas for resting and craft stalls and local producers where you can taste and buy the best products of Valencian gastronomy.

The presentation of the second edition of D * na took place this Thursday, September 6, at the CDT in València. Along with Quique Dacosta have been the mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, and the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Francesc Colomer.

For Grimalt, this second edition supposes a new opportunity to continue projecting to the world the importance of the gastronomy of the Marina Alta and the Valencian Community as a sign of identity and engine of progress. On the other hand, Francesc Colomer, thanked all the agents involved for the effort to materialize a project that reinforces the value of Dénia as a gastronomic destination of the first order.
