Payment of 21 million in judgments complicate the budget 2015

19 December 2014 - 13: 50

Several dianenses political formations are concerned about the fact that close to the end of the 2014 year, there is still no information about the municipal budget for the 2015.

In an informative commission held on the 12th, Vicente Chelet, Councilor for the Treasury, reported that work was being done on preparing the budget, but that the task was becoming very complicated due to having to deal with several convictions that represent an amount of €21 million.

It is necessary to allocate some funds destined to face sentences such as those of the site acquired at the time for the health center on Miguel Hernández Avenue and that of Hort de Morand.

Chelet felt very annoyed by the statements made by the previous mayor of urban planning, Pepa Font, where he was accused of not wanting to know anything about the preparation of the budget. Chelet was resounding "they are missing the truth when they say this. His colleague Juan Carlos Signes was present in that informative commission and therefore he knows that I am working on that issue".

The work that is being carried out is to try to reach agreements to enforce these sentences and try to ask the court to postpone payment of them. The popular mayor explained that talks are being held with the owners of the Hort de Morand, to try to establish agreements regarding debt payments. "Being neighbors of Dénia are collaborating with us and the positions are approaching. The debt with them is 13 million euros"qualified Chelet.

Another very different thing is that referring to the company that owns Miguel Hernández's plot. "6 claim millions of euros with their interests and court costs and require us by judicial order that a consignment be allocated for payment in the budgets of the 2015"said Vicente Chelet.
