The new level crossing of Joan Fuster with Pintor Llorens is closer: this is how the works will be

The Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante published last Friday, 4 of May, the exhibition to the public of the project of the new passage at level of the Avenue Joan Fuster with the Pintor Llorens street. A project that aims to eliminate the barrier effect produced by the railroad in this area.

According to the document, this action will be achieved "the introduction of the change of direction of the Avenue, adopting a boulevard-type section, with two one-way lanes on each side of the median formed by the railway line, favoring the character of the Avenue as" south round "of Dénia, making it more attractive for vehicle traffic and thus freeing the city center from traffic ".

The proposed works include demolition of sidewalks and curbs starts, milling and demolition of agglomerate, excavation, execution of new agglomerate firm, islets, sidewalks and curbs, drainage network, new vertical and horizontal signage, traffic lights and other tasks necessary for the execution of the proposed solution.

Three performances

The projected works consist basically of three actions:

To these three basic actions is added the construction of new sidewalks in the affected section.

Traffic light signaling

The project states that traffic management will be necessary in the new level crossing through the installation of traffic lights. For the traffic of vehicles, a staff will be installed prior to the passage and whose phases will depend on the rail traffic; in red with passage of railways, in amber the rest of the time.

Pedestrian traffic will work analogously, with red phase with railroad crossing and green the rest of the time. Also included in this action is the pedestrian traffic signal of the Camí dels Lladres level crossing, which will function as the new pedestrian crossing.

Work and budget deadlines

The works are scheduled to last three months from the beginning of the works, a project that has a final budget of 240.541,53 €.
