The Montgó and the castle safe from fire by Civil Protection

Civil protection safeguard a year Montgó Natural Park. Since last Sunday, July 1, until Friday, August 31; the 60 local organization volunteers help carry out activities and surveillance. Last year the voluntary association made during the course of these tasks 936 hours monitoring of mountain and road 3.800 kilometers.

This was made known by Javier Ygarza, Councilor for Citizen Security, who thanked Civil Protection for the work of monitoring fires that they have been carrying out, for ten years, in the municipality of Dénia. For Ygarza, he expressed that it is a great pride to present the actions against the fire of the protection group in a summer in which there have already been several fires throughout the national territory.

This summer, as in previous, Civil Protection is providing 9 people a day spread over two vehicles. Both cars are dedicated to monitor the Natural Park of Montgó and pinadas the Dianense Castillo. These data were given by Eugenio Tortosa, Coordinator of the Association of Civil Protection Volunteers, and Vicente Soriano, chief operating officer of the association.
