Last week, the Fishermen's Association of Dénia and the Maria Ibars Secondary Education Institute of Dénia, through the intervention of the Punt Nàutic of CREAMA as a mediator between both parties and promoter of the initiative, initiated a commitment that will guarantee the use of the maritime product that has not had a commercial outlet, allocating it to the hospitality training cycles that are taught at the institute.

With this pact, an internal communication channel has been created through which the Brotherhood will donate the amount of product required by the educational center, as long as the captures allow it. In this way, the students of the IES Maria Ibars, the only institute where this formative family is taught in our territory, will be able to train in a sector with as high potential as that of catering, nourishing themselves with a fresh product and proximity to what throughout your studies.

This initiative has its origin in the Round Table convened by Punt Nàutic on 23/11/2020, in order to agree with the different Fishermen's Guilds of the Marina Alta on the lines of action to be developed by Punt Nàutic in relation to fishing sector. Among others, it is agreed that the project will work to channel the "discard" fish generated by the different Confraternities through social or educational entities.

This action that will channel part of the "discard fish" that is generated in the population of Dénia, is framed within the action plan programmed for the current phase of the Punt Nàutic project with the intention of making optimal use of the resources of which we have in the Marina Alta and promote greater use of the proximity maritime product.
