The IES Maria Ibars agrees with Baleària the training of students in the shipping company
Last Monday, the Maria Ibars Secondary Education Institute of Dénia and the Baleària shipping company, through the intervention of the Punt Nàutic of CREAMA as a mediator between both parties and promoter of the training initiative, have signed a collaboration agreement for the implementation of the Dual Vocational Training with a nautical aspect in the Administration and Finance Training Cycle taught at said institute.
With this innovative training system, the educational center and the maritime services company will work together to offer students a practical training that will involve specialization of students' work skills. In this way, students can focus their career in a sector that demands specialized personnel.
This initiative has its origin in the actions developed by Punt Nàutic for two years and which highlights the realization of an exhaustive analysis of the nautical sector of the Marina Alta at work and training level. Based on the conclusions obtained, a training implementation plan was established in which the participation of the different territorial agents was prioritized.
With the signing of the agreement for the realization of the specific part of the training cycle in the facilities of Baleària, the students of the region will be allowed to acquire more experience that, in turn, will facilitate labor insertion in the nautical and maritime sector .
