The Department of Health of Dénia -DSD- will begin, next Monday, to carry out a COVID-19 test on the professionals of the Dénia Hospital, the 11 basic health areas of the Marina Alta and on the employees and residents of the elderly centers . The objective is to guarantee the safety of professionals and patients, and thus protect the rest of the population against possible coronavirus infections.
Starting next week, the DSD will do more than three thousand diagnostic tests. These are serological tests for the detection of antibodies against COVID-19 to help control and establish the prevalence of the disease. The aim is to create the safest possible scenario for the future gradual and orderly resumption of healthcare activity throughout the health department.
The action is part of a global initiative of the Conselleria de Sanitat Universal i Salut Publica and constitutes one of the contingency measures implemented by Marina Salud during this health crisis.
