The Citizens group will request the elimination of the requirement to be up-to-date with public bodies, as has been done with other COVID aid

The municipal group Citizens in the City Council of Dénia has transferred to the government team the proposal to eliminate the requirement contained in the PARENTESIS Aid bases, which required applicants to be up-to-date with the different public bodies.

The councilor spokesperson for the Citizens (Cs) group in the Dénia City Council, Susana Mut, has indicated that “The Generalitat has already announced other aids in which it is not a requirement to be up-to-date with tax obligations or Social Security, such as those called to help the nightlife sector, for that reason we do not understand how it is putting so many obstacles with the helps PARENTESIS ". The orange councilor has also highlighted that “It is being requested to subsidize expenses generated from April 1, 2020, to the present, where many people have not received any income and therefore have not been able to comply with their tax obligations. If they could, surely they would not need to apply for these grants ".

Estefanía Schwamb, councilor of the Citizens group, stressed that with the aid promoted last year “many self-employed and small businessmen were left out of last year's aid, and this was made clear in the past Consell de Comerç, which is why we believe that the bases for this new line of aid must be modified without fail ”.
