The building of the former Bar Mediterranean will be a cafe / hostel

It was and is one of the most privileged buildings in the city, overlooking the main Dianense artery, Calle Marqués de Campo, and the port. But now his condition is dangerous and worrisome.

After the complaints of the socialist municipal group of the city of Dénia about the state in which one of the most emblematic buildings of the center and port of Dénia is located, the one located at the end of Marqués de Campo Street and that was formerly the well-known Mediterranean Bar , the municipality of Dénia wanted to report the current state in which it is located.

According to the councilor of the Treasury, Vicente Chelet, the owner intends to transform the building into a cafeteria and a hostel where there will also be offices.

Chelet regretted that the PSPV and his councilor Pep Marí are not attentive to the issues discussed in the commissions, since this was one of them. According to Chelet, the project of restoration of the building, of protection, has already passed through the Joint Commission of the Dictaminator and is in the College of Architects waiting for the City Council to grant the license to the owner to build.
