The documentary "Dénia, a film city" will compile the history of cinema in Dénia

From The idiot (1926) to They are de MarBigas Luna (2001). Denia, a city of cinema is a documentary that, driven by the Department of Culture, pick the importance of film in the history of Dénia. The play has been directed by Romualdo Soler and Arturo Ruiz, and will come in two versions: one designed to project 25 minutes in the Interpretation Center Castillo and one of 85 minutosque will be shown elsewhere.

The documentary includes interviews with directors, actors and technicians who have participated in the twenty shootings that have taken place in Dénia, neighbors who have participated as extras, and images and audiovisual how was Dénia in every age.

Directors expressed appreciation at the press conference presentation, the invaluable collaboration of Miquel and Antoni Reig Crespo, who allowed access to their personal files as well as Hollywood producer John Cabrera, advisor to the film locations Captain Jones (1958). The documentary will be available to all citizens in the Municipal Archive.
